Aaand we're back to a brand new episode of The Bachelor! Last night's episode hosted the season's second elimination where we regretfully said goodbye to Clementine. With five girls left and a surprise trip to Champs Les Sims awaiting the group let's watch how these exciting events transpire...
Bobby awoke bright and early and lay in bed for a few minutes before getting ready to conquer another day in the villa. He lay comfortably and wiped away the sleep from his eyes as he thought of last night's elimination. The reactions from the other contestants to Clementine's departure only solidifies to him that each elimination will be more difficult than the last and he couldn't admit to himself that he was excited for the next one. But as he stretched and yawned away thoughts of last night he felt butterflies of excitement buzzing in his belly as he thought about bringing the remaining girls to Champs Les Sims.
He rose out of bed and decided to get packing before breakfast. The trip was only a short one, lasting three days, so he was packing light. Once he zipped up his bag he decided to plan in advance and called a taxi to the airport and schedule it to arrive an hour from now.
As he made his way downstairs he saw a few other girls start waking up and leaving their rooms. He announced to them all that breakfast should be ready any minute and reminded them to have their bags packed for the airport. Each girl greeted him with a wide smile and he was elated that everyone was just as excited for this trip as he was!
Breakfast was a quick and light one today, granola and yogurt with a selection of berries and jams, and Bobby wolfed his down quickly. He helped with the clean up and once he dried the last plate he noticed all the girls were packed and ready and the taxi was waiting for them outside. He gathered the contestants in the hall, made sure they didn't forget anything and off they went to fly to France!
After a somewhat long and uneventful flight the group landed safely in their new destination. Even though the flight was lengthy it was only midday when they stepped out of the plane, they were now in a different time zone! Bobby promised the group they would have a chill first day in Champs Les Sims as he too was a little tired after the flight. He rented out a car large enough for six people and threw their luggage in the boot before zooming off to their home for the next few days.
The journey from the airport to their holiday home was short and the car was filled with chatter the entire drive, the girls attempted to pronounce some words in French and were giggling at each other's mispronunciations while others tried to get some hints to where they were staying from the Bachelor who kept his lips sealed. As they drove up a winding and steep hill a gorgeous sight opened up to the group in the car and the chatter faded into excited gasps.
A historic and massive French castle grew in the distance as Bobby drove towards it. The golden brick of the walls was bright under the sun and the water surrounding the chateau glistened from the sun's rays. Pearl, who sat in the front seat beside Bobby, turned to him and asked with a breathy voice, "are we going to be living in this magical castle?"
"Of course we are," answered Bobby confidently, "where else would I bring you gorgeous princesses to stay?" As he pulled up and parked on the cobblestone near the entrance the contestants pressed against the window of the car and were in complete awe of where they arrived to. Bobby invited them all to exit the vehicle and they followed without hesitation.
Bobby unloaded everyone's luggage and took as many bags as he could while leaving the lightest ones for the girls to carry. He lead them up some large stairs to where a brand new scene opened up before them. A quiet and neatly cut topiary garden sat between the castle walls and they were now free to walk through this beauty. Bobby continued to the castle's front door while the girls slowly followed, spinning their heads around and taking in every detail.
Bobby stood in front of the grand entrance to the castle and set down their bags before pulling out an intricate key to the door. With a turn and a click the door swung open and he invited the girls inside. To say the decor in the castle was regal was an understatement, just by simply stepping into the chateau made you feel like an aristocrat of the highest degree. Every piece of furniture looked handcrafted by the most renown artisans and the paintings adorning the walls were definitely more expensive than any of them could imagine. There were three floors of this aristocratic beauty and the girls were completely floored by the sight of it.
"Welcome to our castle for the next few days," said Bobby as his voice echoed through the hall, "take your time to wander around, pick a room where you will stay and once you're all ready meet me back in the living room."
For the next hour or so everyone brought their bags to their selected rooms while also checking out what other facilities the castle offered. The girls were all so grateful for the experience of residing in a chateau like this that they didn't have any arguments or troubles with the rooms and decisions were respectfully made.
Rosie picked the bedroom closest to the stairwell which was adorned in earthy tones and intricate designs. She was stunned at the size of the room, the bed and the fact that she would have a functioning fireplace she could sit at every evening. She felt right at home and quickly hung some of her clothes in the wardrobe by the bed before meeting Bobby downstairs.
Bethany chose a room that shared a bathroom with Mary-Anne's room. She didn't mind as she loved the colour and decor of her chosen bedroom and loved the fact it had a beautiful vanity set where she could get ready at every morning. She sat down at the padded stool by the mirror and took in all of the little details around the room while she had the time.
Mary-Anne, on the other side of the bathroom, had a gorgeous and romantic room which was doused in the colour red. She leaned back on the couch that faced her queen sized bed and absorbed the relaxing vibes and scents in her room. As a minimalist, she felt that the repetitive red pattern was a bit much but she knew it was authentically regal and appreciated the interior.
Theodora's room was on the other side of the house and looked like one of the more modern aristocratic rooms in the castle. Dusty pink saturated every inch of the room and she loved it. She knew this room would be hers once she saw it had a dedicated space for an easel and she already began planning what she'd like to paint there. She relaxed for a while on the rocking chair in the room before finding her way back to the living room downstairs.
And our last contestant has one hell of a room on the top floor. Pearl might have been the last to claim a bedroom but she earned one with a high roof ceiling and a large space. The wallpaper was crazy in her eyes but she loved the massive four post bed and small dedicated spaces for a vanity mirror and a reading nook. She set down her suitcase on the couch at the end of her bed and sat near it too. She was so stunned to be staying here and from what she noticed... her bedroom is the closest to Bobby's.
As the bachelor waited for his girls to make their way back to him after finding their rooms he took a quick walk around the house. He visited the castle a week or so before the competition began and he picked it from all of the holiday homes where they could stay. He met with the maid and personal chef that would be helping out during their stay and in turn made his way to the ballroom in the chateau. For the purpose of the show the ballroom was repurposed into the elimination room and it was decorated beautifully. Fresh shrubs and flowers decorated the stage and a small table was set up where he would hold the bouquet ceremony in just a few days. But as Bobby phrased it in his head, that is future Bobby's problem, and so he went to get changed into something more comfortable and wait for the girls in the living room.
The maid brought over some fresh herbal tea and set it down on the coffee table along with some fresh and authentic French macarons for Bobby and the contestants to indulge in. The girls all made their way down in a similar time and sat down on the couch to face the bachelor, helping themselves to a bite of a macaron and a quick cup of tea.
"Hello again ladies!" exclaimed Bobby, "I hope you have all settled down well in your rooms and are satisfied with everything!" The girls all smiled and nodded as he spoke.
"I know we are all still quite tired after the flight from Sunlit Tides to Champs Les Sims but I'd like to bring you all to a cozy little cafe that is located in the center of town. They make the best coffee in the country and it'll be a nice introduction to the culture and sights this gorgeous city has to offer! I'm ready when you are."
The girls all stuff the last bite of macaron and sip the remainders of their tea before standing up and collectively leaving the castle to get back into the car. As they sit back into the vehicle Bobby promises them that this is only a ten minute drive and they zoom off back down the hill they once drove up, leaving the castle behind them as they drive off.
This time around Bethany sits in the front while all the others sit in the back. She begins daydreaming and taking in the beautiful French architecture of the buildings as they whizz past their car. To break the silence Pearl decides to ask Bobby, "Have you ever been to Champs Les Sims before?"
"Of course I have!" replies Bobby, "I wouldn't have brought you all to a place I've never been to! I've resided here for several years actually and have a lot of deep connections that I'm really proud of."
"So does that mean you're fluent in French, Bobby?" chimed in Rosie.
"Oui oui, madame," says Bobby with a French accent.
"That's so cool! I hope you can teach us some words!" says Mary-Anne excitedly. Bobby chuckles and promises them all that he will teach them how to order some coffee in the cafe.
"What brought you to live here?" continued Pearl.
"Apart from being a great fan of travelling and learning about various cultures I was teaching English here." responded Bobby. "Languages are one of my passions and while learning to speak as fluently as possible in French I decided to teach my native tongue here."
Bobby continued to speak about his favourite moments from his time living in Champs Les Sims and before they knew it they arrived at the town centre. "Just across this bridge is the main plaza," explained Bobby.
"There you will see the cafe, bookshop, bar and any other necessities." The roof on every building was bright orange terracotta and really painted a quaint atmosphere of the town. Bobby circled the car around the small park in the middle of the plaza before parking near the cafe they were going to visit. He invited them all to step out and breathe in the fresh French air. A faint smell of coffee beans and sweet pastries filled the air outside of the building they were about to enter.
Inside there were many round tables with neat tablecloths draping them and a large counter with a variety of baked goods. You could see the big French coffee machines where the barista was grinding and pressing fresh coffee for the various native-speaking customers that were already at the cafe when the group arrived. Bobby told the group he would go order them all coffee and the girls waited around taking in the sights.
Pearl turned to Rosie and in a hushed tone said, "I never knew Bobby spoke so many languages."
Rosie's eyes widened as she replied, "There's still so little we know about him... isn't that odd?"
"I guess that's just the way this competition goes, can you believe two girls have already been sent home and only a week has passed?!"
"Tell me about it... I don't want to see anyone else go home but..." The two girls nodded at each other solemnly and sighed before gesturing to go into the cafe.
While waiting for their drinks Bethany spotted a dusty guitar that sat in the corner of the shop and asked Bobby if he could ask the barista if she could play it. She got the go ahead and was a great entertainment to all of the coffee sippers in the building. No matter where she goes she always has the need to perform.
The barista beckoned the group in French and placed down a large tray with several cups of coffee. They all went ahead and grabbed one each before sitting down at various tables and savouring the experience. The coffee was far richer and more flavourful than what they have drank at home and were really interested to know what makes it so different. Mary-Anne and Rosie watched the barista work and began speculating what he could be doing differently and giggling at any silly answers they said to each other.
Pearl noticed Bobby had finished his coffee already and she decided to walk up to him and have a moment to talk. "Thanks for bringing us here for an authentic French experience, Bobby," she began.
"My pleasure, Pearl," replied Bobby. "Did you enjoy your drink?"
"Oh my, of course I did! I'm a big coffee drinker at home and would love to know how they make this coffee taste so good!"
Bobby began to go into the details of how they roast the coffee beans differently and how a French press changes the taste of the finished product. Rosie suddenly interrupted him and exclaimed, "Oh! Did you hear that Mary-Anne? It's the French press that makes it different!"
Bobby chuckled before Rosie continued, "Sorry for interrupting but Mary-Anne and I were just so confused by it all and you just explained it so well!"
"The pleasure is all mine girls," smiled Bobby.
He noticed that there was still one cup of coffee going cold and noticed Bethany hadn't stopped playing the guitar once so he approached her and tapped her on the shoulder,
"The last cup of coffee is there for you," he said as he pointed to the cup on the counter.
"Oh goodness, I didn't even notice, sorry about that!" She placed down the guitar on the stand and looked to the locals that were listening to her play and shyly said, "Er... merci, merci... coffee por favor?"
They all laughed and Bobby stepped in to save her embarrassment, explaining in French to the public that she must stop playing and go drink her coffee. They all nodded and threw an OK sign at Bethany as she slightly reddened before thanking Bobby.
"Is 'por favor' not French?" she asked in a quiet voice.
"No Bethany, that's Spanish you're thinking of!" he laughed as he answered her.
She looked down as she tried to hide a small smile before he put his hands on her arms and said, "Hey, you're new to France, it's okay! You played amazing on your guitar by the way."
She embraced him into a hug, slightly surprising Bobby. He almost forgot how forward Bethany is with affection but he's not against it and so he hugs her tightly before hearing Bethany say, "thank you for listening."
When they pulled away from each other Bethany felt a spark of confidence and proceeded to say, "y'know, if it was just me and you Bobby, I would serenade you with my guitar." She felt the eyes of a few of the other contestants burn her as she said that as she waited for Bobby's response.
"Really?" began Bobby as he raised an eyebrow, "Why not tomorrow? Can serenade me then?"
Bethany's eyes sparkled as she got excited at the opportunity to not only play guitar to Bobby but also have some alone time?! She loudly answered back, "Oh my goodness, yes! It's a date!!!"
She skipped away and Bobby smiled as she left him before seeing Mary-Anne looking his way standing alone. He turned to walk towards her and she feigned that she didn't notice him approach her.
"How are you finding Champs Les Sims, Mary-Anne?"
"Oh, uh... pretty nice, yeah," she stuttered.
"If you overheard what Bethany was saying, don't worry your pretty head, I'll be going on a solo date with all of you girls tomorrow." He winked as he watched her expression change.
"Oh, that's great! I wasn't worried or anything, pssht!" She jokingly rolled her eyes and smiled at Bobby. She took a moment before she said to him, "As you're practically a local here, I hope you get to show me some of the coolest spots Champs Les Sims has to offer tomorrow."
"Hrm..." trailed off Bobby as he thought about the town, "I think I know a cool and secret spot you and I could visit tomorrow!" Her face brightened as she began saying,
"Ooooh please tell me! No wait, I like surprises. Oh, but I'm so curious, tell me now!"
"Nope! You said you like surprises so I'll keep it a surprise! Just go to bed early tonight and I'll bring you there at sunrise."
"Oh Bobby, now I'm even more intrigued!" Mary-Anne said in an exasperated voice. Bobby smiled and was quickly seeing tomorrow was going to be an eventful yet very fun day. He excused himself and tried to find one last girl he hasn't talked to yet at the cafe... where could she be?
He remembered that the building has a second floor and so he ascended the stairs and scoped the place out. There stood a bar stand with a mixologist preparing various cocktails and cracking some vintage wines open while some French citizens stood around and spoke to each other in a quiet tone. More tables and chairs littered the rest of the room and not far from the stairs he found Theodora hunched over a manga she was reading.
Bobby approached her and whispered to her, "Found a quiet space to get lost in a book?" Theodora looked up at him with a surprised face and nodded before saying,
"It was getting a bit loud in there and I think I might have gotten a slight headache from that coffee." The bachelor made a pout with his lips and lightly stroked her head,
"You're not a caffeine drinker I presume?" Theodora shook her head before closing her book. "Well, don't worry," continued Bobby, "We'll be heading back to the castle very soon. It's getting quite crowded here and it's getting late anyway."
She stood up and stretched while Bobby searched for the car keys in his pocket. Once he found them he handed them to Theodora and said, "Here, you can pop into the car first and have some quiet time before we all drive home. I'll gather the girls."
She thanked him and descended down the stairs with the bachelor before parting ways. Bobby found each girl and let them know they're leaving very soon. Once he gathered all of the girls he finally stepped out of the cafe and realised how quickly the sun was setting. As they drove back to the castle the sky was growing from blue to yellow to orange within minutes and once again they found themselves at the chateau walls. They all made their way up the stairs to the gardens before entering the building.
Bobby was approached by the maid and she informed him that dinner is being prepared and will be ready by six o' clock. He thanked her and let the contestants know they had some time to kill before dinner. Theodora excused herself to go lie down for a bit in her room while Rosie suggested that they play billiards upstairs.
To make the teams even Pearl volunteered to spectate and not play, making Bethany and Bobby on one team and Mary-Anne and Rosie on the other. They played while playfully bantering about how each player did in each turn with Pearl jokingly commentating occasionally. She poured herself a drink from a nearby bar as she stood and watched.
Just as dinner was announced to be ready Rosie potted the last ball to guarantee a win and they all shook hands and declared it a good game. On their way to the kitchen they popped into Theodora's room to invite her to dinner too, where she admitted she felt better after relaxing a bit in her room. Although they all were used to the vast size of the villa back in Sunlit Tides they really felt like this castle had endless corridors and were sure to get lost a few times while they stayed here.
The chef announced that they cooked them Bouillabaisse, an authentic French soup with locally sourced seafood, and wished them a bon apetit where every girl tried to put on their best French accent and replied merci! They each took a portion and sat wherever they pleased.
Most of the group made their way to the grand dining room that lead out from the kitchen and sat together while discussing their favourite moments from the trip so far. Bobby assured them all that there was still more to come. As people began finishing up and bringing their plates back into the kitchen Pearl and Rosie, who were the first to finish eating, struck up a conversation away from the table.
"Good god, that soup was delicious," said Pearl as she began their talk.
"I can't imagine what other tasty dishes we'll have in our time here!" agreed Rosie.
"I'm even more excited to see what tomorrow holds, any ideas?"
"Oh, did you not overhear? We're going on a solo date with Bobby tomorrow!"
Pearl's eyes widened, "No, oh my god, when did he say that?"
"Well... he didn't really tell us yet but Bethany really made it loud and clear when she was talking to Bobby."
"Oh... I must have been upstairs when that happened! That's great though! I'm excited to see what he has planned for each of us."
"I imagine he'll bring us each to a place in Champs Les Sims! The castle is gorgeous but we're here for such a short time, I'd love to see more of the sights before we go!" Pearl nodded as she agreed to Rosie's sentiment. They continued talking as they both went upstairs and passed by Bobby who was making his way down to Mary-Anne's room.
As dinner was over each girl was free to do whatever they liked before going to bed and many of them were ready to settle down and perhaps even have a wonderful bubble bath in the grand baths they had in each bathroom. Before bed Bobby wanted to see if everyone had settled down okay, learn which girl is in which room and wish them a goodnight with Mary-Anne being his first stop.
He knocked and walked into the room doused in passionate red. There he found Mary-Anne standing near the full-length mirror where she brushed her hair. Her face looked surprised as she saw him and she set her brush down on her bed as she asked him, "What brings you here?"
"Just wanted to see if you're getting on fine and wish you a goodnight," he explained, "I see you're settling in nicely."
"Yes, I was getting ready for bed. You did let me know I should be waking up early for our date tomorrow..."
"I sure did," he smirked. "Do you mind if we chat a bit on the couch?"
"Of course not, come here." Mary-Anne led him to the couch as they sat down together. He turned to her and observed his surroundings,
"What made you choose the red room, may I ask?"
"Well, when I came in here I loved the shape of the room and the large bed," she explained herself, "And I guess the colour matches my hair a little!" They both chuckled as Bobby agreed.
"It's nice to have a fully private space for yourself I imagine... away from the other contestant's eyes."
Mary-Anne raised an eyebrow seductively, "What are you eluding to?"
He began throwing his arm around her and pulling her in as he spoke, "Well, if you ever wanted to have a private moment with me... who would know?"
"A moment like this one?" she asked as he cheeks blushed.
"Exactly like this one." He looked down at her and smiled as he shared this cuddle on the couch. He put his cheek on her head before continuing,
"Remember our moment in the photobooth? How cramped yet fun it was?" Mary-Anne responded with an mmm-hmm, waiting for Bobby to say more.
"Well, because of the time and place I felt like I couldn't do this with you..."
His voice trailed away and he placed his hand on her chin, swiveling her head to face him and he gently kissed her. They both were ecstatic to feel each other's warmth on each other's lips and let the kiss last a while. He rubbed her back as they were frozen in time before parting their lips and looking at one another in the eyes. Mary-Anne wanted this for a while but she was left completely stunned. After a few seconds Bobby spoke first,
"That was a little something before our date tomorrow morning. I'll see you downstairs at 5:30 in the morning." He pulled away and began to stand up, Mary-Anne watching his every move before feeling like her body can finally unfreeze from the ecstasy she felt just moments before.
"I hope this wasn't our only kiss!" she blurted out before he was gone.
Bobby had his hand on the door when she said that and he turned his head to her before saying, "you can steal a couple more tomorrow. Goodnight, Mary-Anne."
He swung the door open and left and Mary-Anne sank into the seat as she breathed a big sigh of pleasure. She closed her eyes and swam in the fuzzy loving feeling before getting up and having a bath before bed.
As Bobby shut the door behind himself he walked to the next bedroom door and knocked, waiting for a response. After a few seconds he peeked into the room and noticed it was empty and wondered where the residing girl might be. He walked down the corridor and heard some music in the distance. He followed the source and found it to be originating from an old record player that stood against the wall in an opening with some couches and a coffee table. A girl was dancing to some dance music that projected from the stereo and that girl was Bethany.
She was fully in the groove of the music and unaware that Bobby was only a few metres behind her as he stood and watched her dance flawlessly for a minute or two. Bethany really was in tune with music to her core, and he was almost certain that even her heartbeat was thumping to the beat of the rhythm she grooved to. He chuckled a little after seeing her break out a move he's never witnessed before walking over to her and tapping her on the shoulder.
She turned to face him and excitedly waved as Bobby began dancing with her, following her rhythm. He knew he wasn't the best dancer but he was having fun following Bethany's choreographed moves and being present in the moment. As the last beat of the song rang out and echoed across the hall the vinyl had come to the end and was making a thumping noise. They both breathed heavily from breaking out in dance so passionately as Bobby put the vinyl back in its sleeve.
"You're some dancer, Bethany!" he exclaimed once he put the record back in the cupboard under the gramophone, "I swear you eat, dream and breathe music, you're so in tune with every beat!"
"Well, I'm more of a instrumental performer than a dancer," she said as she waved her hand, "but thanks Bobby!"
"How are you finding Champs Les Sims so far?"
"I'm excited to see more! I hope you're bringing me to a super awesome place tomorrow on our date!" she winked at him as she waited for a response.
"I've got something in mind," he smiled back, "Be ready around noon, I'll show you a brilliant place where you can serenade me." Bethany blushed at Bobby.
"Anyway, I think you should call it a night with the dancing. I'll see you tomorrow Bethany, goodnight." He pulled her into a hug and she squeezed him tight, embracing his smell, softness and feeling.
"Goodnight, handsome. Sleep well!"
She turned around and Bobby watched her as she retreated back to her room. He took note of which room she resided in and then came in contact with Rosie making her way back to her bedroom. Just as she was about to swing her door closed Bobby called out a "wait!" and she turned around to meet his gaze. He jogged over to her and saw that she was standing with a book in her arms, waiting to hear what he had to say.
"May I come in for a minute?" he said as he stood in front of her.
"Sure, of course!" she smiled as she stepped aside and let him in. He stepped into her room and took in the atmosphere, the intricate and woody textures around the room complimented Rosie's natural smell and suddenly he smelled an aroma of warm milk. He glanced to the coffee table and noticed a freshly made cup of hot chocolate alongside a stack of books. The fireplace looks like it has died down too and he wondered if she had been here after dinner all along.
"You've really settled into this room haven't you?" he gestured to the coffee table as he spoke.
"Oh, the hot chocolate?" she asked before clarifying, "I actually only brought that up just there. I was reading in the library upstairs with Theodora after dinner until I was ready to go to bed. I brought this book with me to read too!"
She showed him the cover and he read the title, 'The Ghosts That Haunt France For Centuries: An Index'. He raised his eyebrows and looked back to her before saying,
"That's a pretty grim read before bed, is it not?"
"Oh my goodness, have I not told you?" she laughed, "I'm a ghost hunter! That's what I do for a living. Ghosts aren't particularly scary for me, mostly a fascination!"
This was a slight shock for Bobby, Rosie simply seemed like a sweet girl but... ghost hunting? Isn't that a dangerous profession fit for a daredevil? He pushed his judgements aside and responded,
"Huh, I would have never imagined you to be a 'ghost buster'!" Rosie giggled at his comment. He continued teasing her saying, "Keep an eye out at night, maybe you'll catch us a poltergeist!"
"Hey, it's no joke!" she gently shoved him playfully, "People get seriously affected by them! But if I do see a ghost, I'll befriend it first before catching it like wild prey."
Bobby got an insight to his contestant, her profession may sound scary and dangerous but realistically she just wanted both affected parties to be happy and in the most gentle and humane way possible. He stopped laughing and smiled at her.
"Well Rosie, it was lovely finding out more about you," he continued. "Maybe we can continue this conversation tomorrow, at 3pm? I have a brilliant place in mind that will most likely have a very historic past and I'm sure there's some tales about ghosts there too."
"That sounds wonderful Bobby! I can't wait!" she said, clasping her hands together and pressing them against her cheek excitedly.
Bobby stretched out his arms and invited her into a hug to which Rosie gratefully accepted. He held her close and gently said, "goodnight Rosie, you sleep well tonight."
She squeezed him back and as they pulled away she responded, "goodnight, sweet dreams and see you tomorrow." She felt sad seeing him leave and wanted to talk to him more but it was getting awfully late and her hot chocolate was getting cold. She waved him goodbye, closed the door and settled down comfortably on the couch near the coffee table, flicking through pages upon pages of France's most notorious ghosts and sipping her now warm hot chocolate.
Once Bobby heard the door shut behind him he remembered that there was one more room on this floor. He knew that he only had Theodora and Pearl to see before bed but didn't know who picked this room. He approached the door and gently knocked and waited for an answer. A high pitched voice responded "come in!" and he opened the door and saw her there.
In the dusty pink room was Theodora, laying in her nightgown on the bed. She sat up slightly and looked around with a slightly embarrassed expression. "Sorry Bobby, I was just about to settle into bed... I hope I'm not dressed inappropriately."
"Oh my goodness, don't worry for one second, Theodora!" he said as he held up his hands in submission, "You look wonderful and it's my fault for intruding on you before bed."
He began stepping closer to her bed and asked, "You don't mind if I step in and say a quick goodnight do you?"
"No, not at all," she replied as she began to rise up out of bed to meet him.
Once they were close he looked at her and asked, "How's your head doing, any better?"
"Yeah, I just needed a rest after such an eventful day," she smiled. "I was just upstairs reading and easing my mind in the library and finally settled down in my room. I'm never drinking coffee again!"
"I'm sorry I suggested it to you!" Bobby chuckled, partially feeling it was his fault she felt this way. "Next time you can stick to tea or a hot chocolate."
The bachelor turned and looked at the other end of Theodora's room and noticed the easel, still unused. "Do you think you'll be painting much while you're here?" he asked.
"Once I'm fully rested I'll give it a shot!" she replied with enthusiasm. "The view from the window is pretty magnificent, I'll definitely stay inspired while I'm here!"
"What if I told you I can bring you to another place where you can get some inspiration?" said Bobby with a suggestive tone, "Just you and me, tomorrow."
Theodora gasped and quickly beamed with glee, "You would do that for me? Yes please! Just tell me the time and place and I'll be there!"
"All you have to do is be dressed and ready to go at 9am, I'll drive us there." They smiled at each other for a moment before Bobby sighed and said, "But for now, you should rest up and get some sleep."
He pulled her into an embrace and whispered, "Goodnight Theodora, sweet dreams." She lay her head on his shoulder as they hugged and softly said back, "Sleep well, Bobby. Thank you for being so caring."
Once they pulled away Theodora began to pull away the cover to her bed and settle into a comfortable position. Once at the door Bobby waved at her before leaving and shutting the door gently behind him. Through process of elimination he knew that Pearl was the one residing in the room on the third floor, not far from where his room was. He ascended the stairs to find the room and couldn't help but have his mind wander to all sorts of naughty thoughts.
The two of them had such a strong connection and there was definitely sexual tension between them, you couldn't deny it. Bobby knew that for the sake of fairness in the competition he had to keep his fantasies of Pearl at bay but he also knows he can't control the actions of Pearl. He took a deep breath as he found his way to Pearl's door and knocked on it. He heard a faint "come in!" and opened the door.
Once inside he sees Pearl slightly hunched over her bed with her back to Bobby. He made a sharp inhale once he saw what she was wearing, a pair of designer underwear that hugged her body very nicely. She turned around to meet Bobby's gaze and stood up straight, her mouth slowly curving into a smile and her blonde hair softly falling across her shoulder. She subtly strikes a pose to show off her curves and begins talking,
"What brought you here, Bobby?" she said in a seductive voice, "I honestly expected one of the other girls to be knocking at my door."
Bobby composed himself and tried to speak with confidence, "I was just saying goodnight to everyone and you're the only girl I haven't seen yet. Seems like I've come a little late as I see you're ready for bed."
Pearl glanced down at her body and did a half spin, "Oh, this? What made you think I'll be sleeping in this?" She started walking a little closer to Bobby and he followed suit, both of them getting closer with every step. "Maybe I was about to take this all off and sleep naked?"
Bobby's heart skipped a beat and was racing faster every second. His attraction to Pearl was undeniably strong and he could sense it was the same for her. He looked her up and down and let out a slow exhale.
"What you're wearing now really reminds me of our date in the jacuzzi," he smirked. "Your confidence to flaunt your body is seriously irresistible."
Pearl loved watching Bobby struggle, with his breathing changing around her and his eyes scanning every inch of her body, and my oh my was she grateful to have a space in the castle to be alone with him. The rest of the mansion seemed quiet and with the guarantee of no disturbances Pearl pulled Bobby to her and they both came crashing down onto the bed behind her.
She crawled to get comfortable on the pillow near the backboard and beckoned him by curling her finger to have him come over to her. Bobby's mind was blank and his only thoughts were of Pearl. There was no other girl that existed when he was with her and he followed her command. He wrapped his arm around her, took her hand in his and smoothly he leaned in for a kiss.
The two lovebirds sank softly into the bed underneath them as they savoured the romantic moment they shared. Pearl's warm body was tightly pressed against Bobby's clothes but he still felt her close as if nothing was between them. After a couple pecks Pearl tried to initiate a make-out session but Bobby snapped back to reality and pulled away. He opened his eyes to see a slightly disappointed expression on Pearl's face as he rejected her but she quickly relaxed and put her head on Bobby's shoulder.
"I want to go further with you," admitted Bobby, "but it just feels too soon... I want to give all of the other girls a chance too but it's so difficult to resist you."
Pearl felt herself blush a little from what Bobby just told her, she's proud of herself for being so irresistible to the bachelor because she wants him all for herself. She lifted her head to look at Bobby and gave him a soft smile, "I understand, it is a competition after all... but you have to admit I'm in the top three right now, right?"
Bobby smiled back and replied, "hmm... let's continue this conversation tomorrow night. I want to bring you to a wonderful and romantic spot at 8pm, so be gorgeously ready then and I'll drive us there." He glanced at his watch and noticed that it was nearing midnight, it was way past his bedtime if he wanted to go for that morning picnic with Mary-Anne! He felt a little guilty thinking of another girl when he kissed Pearl goodnight before getting up from her bed but it's just the way this competition rolls.
"You sleep well, beautiful. I'll see you tomorrow night. Have fun around the castle while you wait for me, I can't wait to hear what you got up to."
"Goodnight, handsome. I can't wait for our date." She winked as she rolled onto her stomach and dangled her legs in the air as she watched Bobby leave her room. Once he was gone she lay her head down on the bedding and let out an audible sigh and thought back at not only tonight's kiss but also the one she shared with him in the jacuzzi. She relished in the fact that she was the first one the bachelor kissed out of all of the girls and loved how that was her secret. She sat up, got out of bed and undid her bedding before sinking into the soft pillows that faintly smelled like Bobby.
The bachelor walked across the corridor from Pearl's room and found himself at the door to his room. He entered and began taking his shirt off near the wardrobe as he thought back on the day. What an eventful 24 hours it has been. With a lengthy flight and a relaxing yet social time so far in Champs Les Sims he really started feeling the exhaustion now that he was alone. He made his way into the bathroom and decided to have a quick bath before bed to really relax his muscles.
As he lay back in the warm water in the tub in his personal bathroom he began scrubbing his legs and arms and continued to think about each girl. He feels comfortable around each contestant that is left on the show yet he admits to himself that he is closer to some than others. He honestly couldn't fathom who he would have to send home in two days time and he decided tomorrow would really be the deciding factor. He has five dates lined up throughout the day and plans to spend at least three hours with each girl, that should be enough time to see the sights while also getting closer, right?
Regardless, he stood up from the bath, drained the water and dried himself off before donning a white robe and his pyjama shorts. He stretched as he left the bathroom and turned to make his way to his bed. As he lay down he stared at the tall ceiling for a minute before switching his bedside light off, thinking about how far the competition has come. But tomorrow is a busy and eventful day and he needs every second of sleep he can get and so he shut his eyes and quickly faded into deep sleep.
And there we have it, the eighth episode of The Bachelor Season 1! The group has made their way safely to Champs Les Sims and their first day flew by as they settled into their luxurious and aristocratic chateau. What has Bobby planned for each girl's solo date with him in the next episode? You'll just have to tune in again and find out! See you soon!!!
