Bobby has planned a romantic first group date with some of our contestants but hasn't revealed who he will bring yet! Eager to find out? Then keep reading as the show starts now!
The girls and the bachelor all turned in for an early night after an exciting first day at the modern villa and two of the contestants are up at the break of dawn. Roommates Clementine and Mary-Anne happened to simultaneously wake up and exchanged a few words,
"Nervous?" chimed Mary-Anne.
"Hmm... more of an excited nervous, but yeah... nervous!" admitted Clementine.
"I wonder what Bobby's strategy is for picking the girls for the first date!" said Mary-Anne as she stretched getting out of bed.
"Of course I hope he chooses me but I'm sure it'll be a fair decision." nodded Clementine.
Mary-Anne spotted a double bass in one of the rooms and began plucking the strings. Her hands glided confidently as she confessed to multiple years of lessons with the instrument. Girls complimented her and enjoyed the relaxing start to their day.
Rosie found Bethany in the live music room and became closer to one of her rivals. They learned more about each other while also sharing their honest thoughts on their bachelor,
"Bobby seemed very interested to hear about my ghost hunting profession... did he ask anything about your job to you?" shared Rosie.
"No, but I did try to flirt with him a little bit last night," admitted Bethany, "He outright told me that I should give other girls a chance before pulling a move on him." She rolled her eyes. "Try not to make the same mistake as me Rosie, give it another few days..."
Their conversation was suddenly interrupted by a faint bell noise. Breakfast was ready! All the girls hurried downstairs to see the delicious meal they were about to have. The chef presented a large plate of French toast and did a short speech about the meal once again,
"This morning I have prepared for you some flavourful and moist slices of French toast! This recipe was handed down to Bobby by a true Parisian man that he became close friends with, it is an ancient family recipe so this French toast is as authentic as it could get! Dig in girls!"
Everyone grabbed a few slices and each took a seat in various parts of the house. Some of them wanted to have breakfast alone and sat at the kitchen island, some gathered at the breakfast table in the kitchen, while the others joined together and ate at the dinner table in the dinning room.
Only after all the girls have taken a portion of the fresh breakfast did Bobby show himself in the kitchen. He said a good morning to the girls at the breakfast nook and waved a hello at Theodora who sat alone. Bobby's face instantly lit up when he saw what was for breakfast. He grabbed the remaining slices, still lukewarm, and sat with some of the girls in the dinning room.
"All slept well in your new rooms?" said Bobby as he bit into his first piece of French toast.
The girls all nodded and said their "mhmm's" as they chewed. The conversation was very casual at the table, with most of the topics referring to the amenities at the villa and their experience so far.
Once everyone's plates were empty a group of girls helped out with the cleaning, collecting the plates and chatting while scrubbing and drying the dishes in the kitchen. Once they were done Bobby called for the girls to come into the main room to announce who he has chosen for the first group date!
They all stood together and looked at Bobby who stood in the center of the room. The sun was bright in the sky and illuminated the entire room through the large windows, casting sun rays across the white couches. Each girl's heart was beating with excitement, awaiting to hear their name come out from the bachelor's lips.
"So, I hope you all had a great first night in the villa," started Bobby. "It was a very tough decision for who to pick for this group date as I still know so little about all of you beautiful ladies... without further ado, if I call your name please step forward."
"You are such a mysterious and spunky girl Margo, would you like to join me on the group date?"
"Hell yeah! Will I need sunblock?" Margo chuckled. The group erupted in quiet laughter and Margo stepped to the side.
Pearl was stunned and pointed at herself in disbelief before stepping forward.
"I feel such an interesting connection to you Pearl, will you join me in today's group date?"
"Of course!! Thank you so much Bobby!" She joined Margo and the group was anticipating one last name, all hoping it was theirs...
"I think you're a very unique girl and would love for you to join me and the other girls on our group date. Will you?"
"Yes! I'm so excited, thank you!"
"Well girls," started Bobby as he turned to face the group, "You enjoy your time at the villa, get to know each other and we will be back by 8pm tonight. Don't wait up!"
Bobby winked at the girls and gestured to his chosen three to follow him. Margo, Pearl and Rosie all looked at each other and squealed with excitement and waved goodbye to the other contestants. They made their way to the front door and left with the bachelor.
"I guess I should tell you where we're going today," said Bobby as he walked down the path from the villa to the road. The girls followed him until he stopped beside a fancy Rolls-Royce car and presented it to the girls with his hands in the air. "I will be driving you in this stunning vehicle to the local summer festival!"
The girls all smiled and clapped from excitement as the bachelor clicked the keys to the car. With a high-pitched *beep beep* he opens the door to let the girls in. Bobby revs the engine up and they zoom down the sandy roads along the coast of Sunlit Tides and make their way to the date destination!
Bobby parks the car near the festival grounds and everyone steps out from the vehicle. Everyone takes in the sights and sees that there's so many activities to partake in that it's kind of overwhelming! The park overlooks the sparkling sea that laps onto the soft sand and in the very center of the festival is a big roller-skating rink.
"Have a look around girls! I'll follow you in just a minute" smiles Bobby at the group. They all disperse and check out what the festival has to offer.
There's something that caught Bobby's eye when he pulled into the park and he darted straight to it. A small bed of wildflowers stuck out near the palm trees and there was an array of colours and types of flowers to choose from. The bachelor decided to pick a few and give a flower to the girl that he enjoyed spending the day with the most, making her safe from the upcoming elimination.
Bobby made his way down to the center of the park and found Margo attempting to kick a football into the goal. He observed her for a minute or two and saw that she wasn't half bad. He approached her after she took a shot and challenged her to a short game.
"You look like you've played a bit of footie before... wanna see how well I can save a goal?"
"Ha! In your dreams!" chortled Margo, "I bet it'll fly right past your head before you can even think to save!"
"Game on!"
Bobby took position at the goal posts and went into a defensive stance, Margo stepped back from the ball and began focusing. She took a deep breath and kicked the ball with as much force as she could. Bobby leaps in the direction of the ball and successfully catches it as he dives onto the ground. Margo lets out a groan, hoping to win the first round, and Bobby gets up chuckling before throwing the ball back to his date. Bobby was happy to see another side of Margo come out, this competitiveness was attractive to him as he would love for his partner to be interested in his hobbies too!
While Bobby challenged Margo to a competitive shootout the other two girls didn't wait around and were having a great time together! They tried out roller-skating for the first time and after getting the hang of the gliding feeling they joined together to do a few spins in the middle of the rink. They giggled as they fumbled to do a perfect circle until...
They lost their footing and fell onto the floor! Although it hurt they laughed off the pain and helped each other get back up before trying again.
Bobby felt like he had worked up a sweat and decided to call it a game. Margo picked up the ball and walked over to the bachelor, setting it down near the goal post.
"I totally beat you in that game, Bobby!" said Margo playfully.
"Just because we lost track of the score doesn't mean you won Margo!" defended Bobby.
The two continued their playful banter and had a moment to get closer to each other. They suddenly get interrupted by a scream from Pearl and Rosie and once they turn to see what had happened the two girls had fallen flat on their faces... again. Pearl stood back up and began exclaiming "That's it! I'm done!" and was waddling out of the rink. Rosie shrugged at Pearl and continued skating around, becoming more confident with every stride.
"I think I'll go accompany Rosie on the rink," Bobby whispered to Margo as he gestured towards her.
"Sounds good to me, I'll see if Pearl is alright!" replied Margo.
The two split and Bobby got some roller skates on and followed Rosie around the rink a few times before calling her name and asking to spin around with her.
"I saw you practicing your spins on the rink, care to show me how to do it?" Bobby asked smoothly.
Rosie looked at him with a surprised face and gently placed her hands in his. She began guiding him in how to place the roller skates on the polished rink and glide in a circle. Once they both got the hang of it Rosie realised how hard her heart was thumping, being able to be locked in this intimate and very romantic moment with the bachelor is everything she dreamed of in this competition! She finally got the courage to look up from their hands and met Bobby's gaze. She immediately felt blood rush to her cheeks as she shyly looked away. Bobby chuckled and asked to slow down to a stop.
"Thank you for sharing this moment with me Rosie but I think my brain has turned to liquid, I feel so dizzy!"
Rosie laughed and guided him back to the entrance where they changed back into their shoes and stepped aside to chat.
Bobby started their conversation, now on stable ground, with a compliment on Rosie's skating skills and admitted he has never really been a skater. Rosie felt a rush of courage and suggested that they should have a roller skating date some time. This suggestion took Bobby aback,
"If things go smoothly maybe I'll take you up on it!" He winked at her and enjoyed seeing her blush from his smooth talking.
"I'll let you in on a little secret Rosie," began the bachelor as he leaned in close to her ear. "You're one of my favourite girls in the villa right now, your openness and kindness is something I really admire!"
Rosie didn't know how to respond and just gave him a little nudge on the arm, "I hope you're telling the truth! Don't play with me Bobby!" she giggled.
"Honest! I'm a man of my word!" he responded. "Anyways, the day is flying by so let's find the other girls, I want to get a picture taken with all of us in the festival photobooth!"
Rosie nodded and the two walked towards the photobooth stationed at the beginning of the park. Along the way they found Margo and Pearl cooling off in the evening sun with some snowcones and invited them to the photobooth. Bobby let the girls enter first and followed them right in. The person working at the photobooth was super kind and knew just what to say to the group to get them smiling for the camera. They had their photos printed so everyone could take home as a gift.
"I'm gonna display mine as soon as I'm home!" exclaimed Margo.
Roommates Rosie and Pearl were glad that they wouldn't make the other jealous by having this photo displayed, agreeing to keep that attitude with other dates in the future.
"Hey Pearl," called Bobby, "I still haven't had time to chat with you, do you have a minute?"
"A minute for you? Anytime Bobby!" winked Pearl. Margo and Rosie talked and decided they would go to the pier to watch the waves and see if they could see any dolphins in the water, leaving Bobby and Pearl to have some alone time.
"Are you enjoying the group date?" started Bobby.
"Of course I am!" confirmed Pearl, "Only I wish I had more time with just the two of us but I appreciate any moment I have with you, Bobby."
Pearl's honesty was so refreshing to the bachelor and he felt extremely comfortable to be completely himself around her. Her smile was also something that drew him in and he wanted to make her smile as much as he could.
He began asking her more about what she wants in a partner and almost everything she told him applied to who he was, it was quite flattering to hear! He decided to act on a sudden thought and use Pearl's honesty to his advantage.
"Have any of the other girls told you what they look for in a partner? Do I fit into any of the parameters?"
Pearl began to laugh, "Hey! Those are some secrets you're asking me to say, find out yourself, bachelor!"
"Alright, alright. Nice to see that you're honest and a confidante!" replied Bobby.
As their conversation went on the sky grew from an intense pink into a soothing purple and Bobby knew it was time to head back to the villa soon. As one last surprise for his dates he brought Pearl to the pier where Rosie and Margo had been watching the waves and gathered them in a group.
"Our date is sadly drawing to an end," sighed the bachelor. "But I have one last group activity for us. You might want to cover your ears for this display!"
Bobby walks over to a box of fireworks that were sitting on the edge of the pier and begins to light them quickly. The girls run a few steps back and Bobby swiftly follows them. As they watched the bright crackles in the fireworks box they all tightly covered their ears with their hands and waited in anticipation.
With a sudden whirr several little rockets flew into the darkened sky and slowly fizzled out before exploding into a large display of colour, creating a shape of a rainbow. Everyone let out an ooo and an ahh and clapped as the colours faded away. The multi-coloured display that they had all just witnessed really put the cherry on top of a wonderful day. The girls all collectively thanked Bobby for today and he ushered them back to the Rolls-Royce that they arrived in.
After a speedy ride home the group was visibly tired after an exciting and rigorous day at the summer festival. When they entered inside the chef greeted them and asked if they were hungry to which the group enthusiastically answered yes! She let them know that there was veggie sushi and salad prepared in the kitchen and that the other girls have already eaten. Bobby let the chef know that he just wanted to say a few words to his dates and they would come in shortly.
The bachelor turned to Margo, Pearl and Rosie and took a deep breath as he looked at each of them. "I have to start by saying a huge thank you to all of you for making today, the first group date, such a pleasant experience. You're all really wonderful girls and I genuinely enjoyed my time with each and every one of you today... but I have to pick one girl that stood out to me the most."
Bobby put his hand to his chin and gently scratched his beard. "I'll need to have a think over dinner who I will gift a flower... and keep safe from elimination." The girls all lightly gasped, they didn't expect that there was that possibility!
"Without further ado, thank you, really, from the bottom of my heart." He smiled at all of them and invited them for dinner in the kitchen. As they grabbed plates of what appealed to them the most Margo confided in Bobby and let him know she was getting a headache, assuming it was from long exposure to the sun.
"I'm a Bridgeport girl! We're lucky if we even get a full hour of sunshine in one day!" She asked Bobby if it were alright to eat alone and head straight to bed which he of course agreed with.
He went and sat with the other two at the small table in the kitchen and had a few last chats before he would give out one of the wildflowers he had picked at the beginning of their date.
The group didn't realise how hungry they really were until they noticed how quickly they cleaned out their plates of food! Even the chef noticed as she collected the plates from their tables and chuckled at their eagerness. They all gave their compliments to the chef and began to stand up. As they all were about to leave the kitchen Bobby asked for Pearl to stay for a minute.
Bobby pulls out a neatly wrapped gift box and presents it to Pearl. She audibly gasps and Rosie and Margo turn around to see what had happened. She accepts the gift and gives it a gentle shake to hear what's inside. She gently unwraps it and inside is a fresh purple wildflower. She thanks the bachelor with all her heart and smells the unique gift. She goes into the kitchen to look for a vase or glass to display the flower in. The other girls watching let out a quiet sigh and continue on with their night.
A few of the other girls that weren't asleep yet came down to say hello to Bobby and the others and asked about their day. The girls shared as much information as they were willing to tell and Bobby retorted back to the others how their day went at the villa! Many girls said they lounged around and tried to get a tan in the tropical sun while others entertained themselves with various hobbies such as painting and reading. Bobby enjoyed his quick chat with the other contestants and decided to head back to his room for the night.
After an exchange of good night's Bobby marched up the stairs and went straight into his bathroom. He filled up the bath with some warm water and some essential oils to relax his muscles and had a bedtime soak. He reflected on today and thought about each girl and what they meant to him so far.
Margo is rash and competitive, Pearl an honest and reliable soul, and of course Rosie a brave sweetheart. But he can't forget the other girls living in the villa, there's still so much to learn about them. He let out a big sigh and switched off his mind for the last few minutes of his bath before retreating to bed. The villa was silent once again as it struck midnight and Bobby switched off his light to rest up for another day of romance tomorrow.
